\"\"Some time ago I wrote that there are no too much useful poker applications in Facebook. I did not change the opinion in half a year after this Poker 2.0 Blog post. However, if we look at this problem from another angle, the situation wouldn\’t look so tragic.

What Facebook can give for beginning poker players or those who want to learn play poker?

In some of my articles I recommended beginners to start playing in Facebook for free, learn something about online poker action and only then go to biggest poker rooms, deposit and be welcomed like regular fish players. Playing a while in Facebook and learning something could save someone\’s money.

I have started investigating Facebook poker applications which are best for learning. Here is the list of TOP 5:

  1. Zynga\’s Texas Holdem – the biggest online poker room in the world with 4,1 million of players daily (PokerStars has 300,000 at the peak times only).
  2. Poker Palace  – second biggest poker room in Facebook with 160,000 daily players.
  3. Poker Texas Holdem from GameDesire  – one more nice poker room to play with your friends. It is available in 20 different languages, so people who do not know English very well can definitely learn in their own language.
  4. All In Poker Odds Calculator is a simple odds calculator which can help counting your chances with particular hands. Can be used in new window while playing poker in Facebook or everywhere else.
  5. Test Your Poker Math is one of few poker quizzes. There are lots of them and each one helps people to learn something.

Unfortunately, some of applications are not working at all or works incorrectly. One of them – Flash tutorial explaining poker hand rankings. It is pity that creators of these applications left them neglected. They can be useful to thousands of beginner poker players.
